You are now ready to go out into the golfing world and start jumping into all that the GLF. Connect system has to offer and start using it to power your business and build relationships with your students. But how should you launch your system to your students? Firstly, we recommend ensuring that some key steps have been completed which is covered within the onboarding training modules.
- Is your booking system setup?
- Are you coaching teams schedules setup including pricing and availability?
- Has your coaching team transferred lesson bookings from any previous systems or ensured that their schedules reflect the correct availability to prevent double bookings?
- Are classes which you intended to market to your customers setup on the booking system?
- Are coaching packages setup and available in the Coaching Store?
- Have you generated short links ready to add to website pages, email signatures, social media and campaigns?
- Have your coaching team and front of house teams complete the onboarding training modules?
If you can answer YES to the questions below you are ready to go and it is now time to decide how to build your student database and launch it to your customers:
- Grow your database organically - You may want to build a new database by starting organically. Get your system access out to your student database through a mail campaign or mail shot. Your students can then book and pay online and create a FREE Student account!
- Upload your Student Database - If you already have a database of students, you can upload these in one go. By navigating to our students area, you can download our template upload sheet which is formatted correctly to then be uploaded to the system. You can also choose to either send an automated account registration automatically to each student or alternatively, you can add the students without sending this automated email. However, you will need to share the username and password with each student individually or send the account registration email at a latter date.
Option 1
Let’s take a look at option 1 to begin with. You can send a mail shot or campaign something like below:

- View previous & upcoming lessons/classes
- Connect with me/your coach on lessons and classes through lesson media & notes
You can access the GLF Connect system on the web by visiting (INSERT AND LINK YOUR URL) or via the GLF Connect App available on the App Store on iOS for iOS users or Google Play for Android users. You will need to search for (INSERT CLUB/ BUSINESS NAME). Your FREE account will be created when you Sign Up or complete a booking using the Online Booking System.

The benefit of growing your database organically is an increase the accuracy of your student database and it means you start with a database of engaged users. You may also need to consider this if you are unsure you have the correct permission to create an account on behalf of your students. Your students can create an account by using the Sign Up form on the web based system and app, or when they complete a booking or store purchase on your system.
Option 2
The second option, is to perform a bulk upload of your student database. With this option, is it important you send a communication to your database prior to adding these students. Firstly, this will notify your database of your new system and its benefits, but it will also make them aware of the automated confirmation they will receive from the system. You can send a mail shot something like below:

Your account is completely free and in the next few days, you will receive an automated email from our/my GLF Connect system. This email will include a username, password and a link to access the system on the web. If you do not receive this email, please check your email spam folder or contact me/ a member of our team.

The benefit of this method is the ability to upload an already established database onto your system, therefore reducing the need to create new student accounts when they first use your system. It is also removes one step for your customers, where they can login to the system using their details without having to create a new account. When performing this procedure, make sure you have relevant permission from your students.
In both instances, the customers will receive an automated email with their account information. So what does this look like? You can review the email confirmation below. This will be customised with your business name and logo without you needing to do anything:
Whichever method you choose, make sure you shout about the new system to your students to drive engagement into your newly added value element within your coaching experience.
You can also add to any of these communications a Short Link to get your customers directly to a specific coaches schedule and add these links to websites, social media pages and email signatures.
