App 3.0 - New Media Area

Central to the 3.0 GLF.Locker App update is the new Media feature. This feature has been enhanced from the 2.5 version of the App in light of customer feedback and our passion for providing Coaches with the tools they need to develop stronger relationships with students and drive pupil's game improvement. We know that sharing feedback with students is vital to success for your business!

Let's dive in to an overview of the main enhancements and new features.

What's New?

  • Media Access - Firstly, the Media feature is accessible from the Home Screen Dashboard for both Coach and Student and from the footer Quick Actions for Coaches giving you easy access to this feature.
  • Media Feed & Library - One of the main enhancements is the way in which media is organised. This exists across two tabs, the Feed and Library. The feed is intended to be used as a way of storing Media types that you intend to use to share directly with students or perform an analysis on. It is ideal for taking a video out on the lesson tee and returning to it within the lesson! The Library tab is ideally used as a way of storing media types for future and repetitive use with students. Perhaps you have an example image of a great position in the swing or a common drill you use with your students. You can store these in the Library tab and share with your students. You can also search for Media, filter across the media types, add a title and description and move media from the feed to the library.
  • Upload Media - You can add Media types directly to the Feed or Library by using the Upload icon in the top right corner of the screen. You can record a video or audio or take an image from your phone camera. You can also upload from your device.
  • Analyse Videos or Photo's - You can select these media types from the Feed or the Library and then use the new Analysis Tool. The Analysis feature allows you to analyse the media using all of the most common tools, compare it to another media file, play them side by side and then provide a screen recording and audio feedback which can be shared with the student.
  • Student Sharing - Media which exists within the Feed or Library tabs can be shared directly with Students. You can also share media after an analysis has been performed. There are a number of options in regards to sharing, which are as follows:
    • Share to Student Feed - By selecting this option, you can select the Student from you database and share to their own feed area. This is ideal when you want to share media outside of a lesson or class.
    • Share to Student Feed & Lesson - By selecting this option, you can select the student from your database and select a specific lesson booking. This is ideal if you want to share media that has been taken within a specific lesson. The media will be visible in the Lesson Info Tab under the specific lesson booking as well as being visible in the Student's Feed.
    • Share to Group Class - By selecting this option, you can select from Previous, In Progress and Upcoming Classes and share the media to all students in the class or specific students only.
  • Media Commenting - When sharing media to your students, either to a lesson/class or to the feed only you can  add a comment. This will be visible to the student via the Feed. This allows you to effectively communicate with your students and engage in a two way conversation relating to the media.
