Improvements to Media Feature on Mobile Apps

We have made a number of improvements to the media feature on the mobile apps. These improvements include additional functions as well as an enhanced user experience when utilising this feature of the app.

The enhancements include:

  • Additional FPS settings added to video recording feature

We have added additional frame rate settings when recording a video via the GLF. Connect mobile app. There are now 30, 60, 90 and 240 fps settings available. The option you choose will depend on the intended use of your video. We recommend using the lower FPS settings for videos you intend to play or share in real time or longer duration videos. When looking to use the video for analysis you should use the higher 240 FPS option:

  • Video trim feature added prior to video upload

After recording a video you will now see a new option to trim the video prior to upload. You should use this setting to reduce the video durations which will maximise speed of uploading and usability within the media feature:

  • Pinch and zoom tool added to media analysis feature

In the analysis screen we have added a Pinch and Zoom tool visible on the upper left corner of the screen. Clicking this new tool will allow you to zoom and move across the video:

  • Option to share media to a lesson when it is in progress

You can now share media to a student's lesson and feed when the lesson is in progress. Previously media could only be shared prior to the start time of the lesson or when the lesson end time had elapsed. After selecting the student and the relevant lesson, the new in-progress option will be available allowing you to select a lesson that is currently in progress:
