How to Update your Academy Settings

Academy Information

Users with Manager access can access new and enhanced functionality relating to settings across their GLF. Connect system. This gives users increased flexibility within their system to manage a number of features which are discussed below. To access the Academy settings, from the Manager user role click on the Settings icon in the main header:

On this screen, Manager users can edit settings across three tabs, Academy Information, Academy Settings and Payment Settings:


Let's start by exploring the key functionality within the Academy Information Tab:

  • Academy Logo & Background - Theses images will impact the logo in the header and the background image of the system. It is recommend that the logo has a transparent background and the Academy Background image should be black and white/grayscaled. 
  • Academy Contact Information - Users can update the key contact information for their Club/Academy.
  • Academy Opening Hours - These settings will impact the schedule that can then be set by each coach across each day. Your coaching team will be able to set their own teaching schedule between the hours you set here. 
  • URL Settings - These fields provide users with an ability to customise where a user will be redirected to when performing a certain action, such as when logging out of the system. 

Academy Settings

This tab gives users access to customise certain settings such as:

  • Time Format - The time format within the schedule view. This can be 12 or 24 hour format. 
  • Academy Member Pricing - Determined whether specific pricing can be added for those students assigned as member.

Payment Type Settings

This tab gives users the ability to enable specific payment types on their system including:

  • Pay by Debit or Credit Card - This gives users the option to pay by card on the booking system or store however, an integration with Stripe is required.
  • Pay at Academy / Enable for Player - Enabling this option gives users the option to process bookings and store transactions using the Pay at Academy option, effectively allowing them to book online and make payment later. Enabling this for a Player will only give students this option on the booking system.
  • Pay by Link - This enables the functionality to create and send automated secure payment link to the student's email address however, an integration with Stripe is required.
  • Sub Payment Types - These relate to the Pay at Academy payment option and allows Coach, Manager and Pro Shop users to define the specific method of payment when marking the booking as paid. For further details on Sub Payment Types please review our article on Payment Settings.
