To improve the integration between GLF. Connect and Micros POS, enhance stability, and provide greater visibility of the status of checks flowing between the two systems, we’ve introduced a new Transaction Queue feature. This feature includes several changes and enhancements, which are outlined below:
‘Added to Queue’ Status & Guide
On the web and mobile app schedules, users will now see a new purple status indicating that a transaction has been Added to the Queue. Previously, after the initial push, transactions would immediately turn orange signalling that the transaction had been successfully pushed to the Micros POS or present an error alert when the push had failed.
Now, checks will automatically turn orange only after the transaction has been successfully pushed from the queue to the POS automatically by the system:
This new status has also been added to both the web schedule, class details pop up and the mobile app’s calendar guide:
Transaction Queue Tab on the Micros Transactions Screen
A new Transaction Queue tab has been added to the Micros Transactions screen. This tab will display all transactions where the initial push request has been completed, but the transaction is still in the queue, pending a successful push to the POS workstation. On this screen, users can view the following information:
- Student Name: The name of the student, as it appears in the GLF. Connect system, indicating which transaction it relates to.
- Booking Type: The type of booking for the transaction, which will appear as:
- Lessons: For transactions sent via the schedule related to private lessons.
- Class: For transactions sent via the schedule related to classes (which may include deferred or delivered revenue).
- Store: For transactions sent via the Coaching Store, such as lesson packages.
- Amount: The total amount for the transaction to be sent to the POS.
- Payment Type: The payment method selected for the transaction, such as:
- Pay via Member Charge
- Pay via Credit Card
- Pay via Credit Book
- Pay via Package
- Push Date: The date the transaction was requested to be pushed to the POS, thus adding it to the queue.
- Push Status: The status of the transaction will appear as follows:
- In-Process - Means the system is automatically attempting to push the transaction and will retry up to three times.
- Failed - Appears after three unsuccessful attempts. This status will remain for any further unsuccessful attempts that are made.
- Try Attempts: This indicates the number of attempts made. If fewer than three attempts have been made, the GLF. Connect system is still attempting to push the transaction automatically.
Users can also perform several actions via the Action Menu icon on the right-hand side of the screen:
View Request Feature
In the Transaction Queue tab on the Micros Transactions screen, users can review the Request information for any transaction that is either In-Process or Failed. The request pop-up provides useful information, especially for the Support Teams when assisting with Failed transactions:
View Response Feature
Similarly, users can review the Response information for any transaction that has failed to reach the POS. The response pop-up provides details about why the transaction failed to reach the POS, which can be shared with the Support Teams to resolve issues more efficiently:
Re-Try & Cancel Push
For transactions with a Failed status, users can either Cancel the Push or Re-Try the push:
Cancel Push: This action will revert the transaction’s status to Pending Push (Red) and remove the transaction from the queue. This is useful when the failed status is due to an error in the GLF. Connect system settings for example if a Coach SKU Number is incorrect. Cancelling the push allows users to re-push the original transaction after correcting the settings.
Re-Try Push: This feature is helpful when users have been notified by the Support Teams that the issue with the integration between GLF Connect and the Micros POS causing the failed push has been resolved (e.g., if the workstation was offline). Users can retry pushing the transaction to the POS.
